Children's Events & Programs
Children through Grade 6 enjoy FREE programs throughout the year designed to foster a love of reading and the joy of visiting the library. Many programs offered by the Children's Room are generously funded by the Jane Gray Dustan Fund.(Please note: weekly programs, including Storytimes and Playtimes, are not offered on holidays or during school vacations.)

Sing-Alongs & Playtime
For infants and toddlers, The Jane Gray Dustan Children’s Room offers two monthly singalongs from September through May, and an informal playtime most weeks.
Book Club
Children in third through sixth grades are welcome to join our book discussion groups, offered during the school year from September through May. The third and fourth grade group typically meets on the second Thursday of the month at 3:15 p.m. in the Flett Room.The fifth and sixth grade group typically meets the third Thursday of the month. Please call 617-993-2880 or stop by the Children's Room to register for Book Club and reserve your copy of our next book.

Storytimes
Storytimes are offered throughout the school year (September-May). Classes are formed on a drop-in basis so registration is not necessary. Since storytimes are planned for specific age levels, please make sure that your child will be attending the correct class. Siblings, of course, are welcome.
