Claflin Room (Local History)

Formerly the Belmont Room, the Claflin Room houses important items of local history. The collection includes two murals of old Belmont, original art, town reports, books by Belmont authors, materials relating to the town, and historical artifacts. The Belmont Historical Society oversees the care and maintenance of the room and has volunteers who open the room to library patrons during the hours noted below.

HOURS: Mondays from 2-4 PM, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9 PM.

The collection includes:

  • The library and the historical Claflin Room have incomplete holdings of past years of the Belmont Residents list, the Belmont High School yearbooks, Town annual reports, books written by local authors, Belmont Historical Society files of historic documents and artifacts.
